Using a Raspberry Pi, I was able to connect the GPIO to a simple garage door opener and control the output with the Raspberry Pi frameworks. I connected the Pi to my home network so I can send messages to it from my phone. It’s just a simple time saver right now, but maybe the Raspberry Pi has a place down the road for other things.
