The Tamagotchi was one of the biggest toy fads of the late 1990s and the early 2000s. Cryptocurrency is very similar to Tamagotchi, in that if you don't check it every 4 minutes, then it dies on you.

I have good memories of stepping in a Blockbuster Video with no real idea of what to watch. We can explore content on Netflix now, but it doesn't have the same feeling as physically searching for movies, so I figured this would be another great use case for Unity.

What better way to remember the apartment you spent quarantine in than to model it in Unity. This year we also adopted two cats, so we made a game from the cats perspective as they avoid being captured for a bath.

My friend and I were playing the Javascript version of XMoto on XMoto.io late one night and discovered how simple it was to create maps. What if we could create a map which uses the John Hopkins COVID-19 dataset and where you drive up and down the new cases timeseries. Well we did just that.

This summer I started learning about games like Rimworld and Dwarf Fortress. It fascinates me how much logic can be packed into a single game without the codebase becoming a convoluted mess. I wanted to learn how games could have such rapid "stable" development, so I started looking into Entity-Component-System design.
